Update On Weight Loss

Hello. I mentioned a while back that I was trying to loose weight and would keep you updated. I had lost 18 pounds that you can read about here.
I still have 20 more pounds to loose which is taking a while. As of now, I have lost 30 pounds!!!!

I can tell a big difference in these before and after pictures. I also decided to color my hair to cover up my "gray highlights." I don't have full body pictures yet to show you. I didn't take a picture of myself before I began my adventure - I forgot - or maybe I just didn't think about it.

Here is a picture of me trying on a pair of jeans after I went two sizes down. Now, these jeans are a little too big around my waist. 

I need to start exercising more to firm up my upper body. Do you have any weight loss stories that you would like to share?

  1. Cyndee, congratulations! I would just like to say that I've found that the only way to take off weight and then keep it off is not by "dieting," but by changing, for forever, the way you eat. I've seen so many people I know, men and women, yo-yo for years on end because they don't make any permanent changes and just go from diet to diet. I wrote a post in September (I think) about how I handle sugar. Keep up the good work!

    1. Thank you, Jean. I have yo-yoed for the last 5 years. I believe that it is a form of lifestyle to eat better and to keep it off. I hope and pray that I can continue to keep the weight off...for the rest of my life.

      Five years ago, I weighed almost 200 pounds. (I am only 5 feet tall) I just didn't pay attention to what I was eating, so I just ate anything and everything I liked.

      To be clear, I am not calling it dieting. I'm just eating much smaller portions and really being more cautions of what I eat. I'm looking forward to reading your article about how to handle sugar.
