Yesterday, I said that I would share my garage sale finds with you today. My aunt is ill and she and her husband are living in a nice, retirement/nursing home about 20 minutes from where I live.

Shadow Box Project

Hi and Welcome!

Today, I’m sharing my Shadow Box Project that I created  a while back. I had never made a shadow box before, but I had this old box with a bunch of acrylic paint in it that my mother had given me. I put all the paints on a shelf in my craft room and there sat this old box in my

After staring at it for a while, I came up with making it into my own version of a shadow box.

Hello. I'm so glad you're here! Last night, my grand-daughters spent the night with hubby and I. I just love "Grandma Time," don't you?

Their Aunt, Hubby, and I took the girls to the park. G road in our old, rusty wagon.

Our Vacation

Hello. I'm so glad you're here! I have been on vacation and so my blogging has been MIA. No time to work on any projects for a while either. So...

...I would like to share a little about my vacation with you all. As I posted earlier, Hubby and I rented a cute and cozy A-frame cottage on a lake about an hour and a half north of where we live.

I hope I don't bore you with all the pictures. I thought about posting my vacation in two parts, but decided to do it all at once in case I can't get back to it.  So, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the show!

It was so peaceful and relaxing.

Front of Cottage

(Of coarse, I would have had big pots of flowers under each window and some chairs for seating, just sayin'.)

The Cottage was nice and cozy on the inside.

The kitchen curtains were made out of beach towels. How clever!

I thought the pillows were a little "cheezy" in the picture above on the couch...oh well (wink).

Our room was downstairs with a full-sized bed. The loft had two twin beds.

The Lake

The kids came up Sunday and spent the night and we had a big feast together
on Memorial Day.

We ran out of gas for the grill and Scott was looking all over for another one.

So yummy!

The kids went out on the lake in the paddle boat while hubby and I were in the row boat.

I think the kids really enjoyed themselves!
That night, we had a big campfire.

After the kids left, hubby and I had the rest of the week all to ourselves!

We went fishing,

Scott caught a 14" bass.

We went on a two-hour canoe ride,

It is hard to see, but on the canoe ride, we saw a deer. That just made my day! The deer wasn't even scared and didn't run away. It just kept eating and looked right at us.

Well, I hope I didn't bore you with all my pictures.
I know they aren't always the best quality. Some were taken with my phone and some were taken with my small digital camera, so not too bad with what I have.

Do you have a vacation planned? Where do you plan on going? I would love to hear all about it and see your comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
